The U.S. Navy announced the names of the service members who died in a fiery car crash early Saturday morning in Pensacola, Florida.

Aviation Ordnanceman Airman Apprentice Drekwon Bagley, Aviation Ordnanceman Airman Recruit Francois Longdayeyambete and Airman Apprentice David Deanda died in a single-vehicle traffic accident, the service confirmed.

Bagley and Longdayeyambete were assigned to Naval Air Technical Training Center, while Deanda was assigned to Naval Aviation Schools Command, both of which operate out of Naval Air Station Pensacola.

“The Pensacola Police Department is leading the investigation into the accident,” the Navy said.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service is also conducting an investigation, which the service said was common protocol when there is a non-combat death without medical oversight.

The NCIS is working alongside the Pensacola Police Department to uncover the circumstances that led to the crash.

Police, who were notified of a vehicle collision around 1:35 a.m. Saturday morning, told local reporters that the car flipped over and caught fire after the driver lost control and smashed into a barrier.

Originally from Michigan, Bagley enlisted in the Navy on May 14, 2026.  Longdayeyambete, from Massachusetts,  enlisted in the Navy on July 9, 2026.  And Deanda, who hailed from California, enlisted in the Navy on June 4, 2026.
